I've seen honest faces before.
They usually come attached to liars.

| Name: | Willow Rosenberg (AU) |
|---|
Character: Willow Danielle Rosenberg
Series/Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Original or Alternate: AU
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Sexuality: Bisexual

Appearance: Willow is five foot six inches, with green eyes, auburn hair (that varies from chin to shoulder length, depending on how it's 'done') and pale skin. Appearing to have some sort of Irish heritage, perhaps on her mother's side, for her father being of Jewish decent. She sticks to jeans and skirts and the occasional "cutesty" attire. A nifty t-shirt here or a fuzzy sweater there. Always very casual unless the situation calls for it. She has a tattoo between her shoulderblades of a stylized pentacle.
Personality: Willow's had quite the transformation when it comes to her personality. In high school, she was a shy, naive nerd with a light, risque sense of humor. She was a part of the Math, Science, and Computer clubs, so she was always the one to go for help. Being friends with Buffy, and being put into the situations she was put into, helped Willow grow as a person. Now in the second semester of her first year at the University of Sunnydale, Willow's more outgoing, and open about her opinions. Emboldened enough to go out and get a tattoo celebrating her faith. Willow is very protective, whether she appears to be or not. If you threaten her friends or those closest to her, she will lash out. Willow tends to, occasionally, wear her heart on her sleeve, her emotions known to, basically, everyone. Despite seeming the weakest of her group of friends, her deep inner-strength will surprise anyone that didn't know her personally. One of the little-know quirks about Willow is her fear of frogs. She loves mochas and can be easily bought with chocolate of some kind. Occasionally, she drinks too much coffee and acts like quite the jitterbug, causing questionable looks from others. She, for the most part, is always very kind and hardly ever says a bad thing about anyone. Unless they deserve it. When her 'resolve face' is firmly in place, there isn't really a thing a person can do to 'unresolve' it.
Abilities/Strengths: In her sophomore year of high school, when Buffy Summers first arrived and Willow joined the 'scoobies', Willow's major "powers" were her intelligence and computer skills, as well as marked snarkiness. She aids Giles as he researches information to aid Buffy in overcoming various challenges. Willow also aids in the preparation of magical materials, making her first potion to detect a witch and performing the ritual to revoke Angelus' invitation to Buffy's house in when he was getting to dangerous, but does not seriously begin practicing magic until the death of Jenny Calendar, one of her teachers. She is asked to take over teaching the class because of her high aptitude, and one day comes across a floppy disk containing a spell that Jenny Calendar had successfully translated to English, which can restore a vampire's soul. Willow's initial interest in Wicca lies more in the spell-casting portion rather than the faith itself; she sees magic as a way of hacking the universe, and an extension of her computer hacking skills. This mentality may have been influenced by her relationship with Jenny, who identified herself as a "technopagan," and was connected to an online pagan network.
Willow's first major spell involves re-cursing Angel with a soul. She learns to levitate a pencil early in her senior year, and her powers continue to develop until, towards the end of her freshman year of college, she is able to cast powerful spells independently and with the help of Tara Maclay.

Weaknesses: Willow is only human, and if she was to be stabbed or shot and mortally wounded, she may or may not be able to do a healing spell in time to save herself. So there's always the possibility of death that way. Another weakness is that her fear of always being labeled a 'nerd' occasionally stops her from persuing people that she may be attracted to. Another large weakness is the people she cares about. If they're in danger, she will stop at nothing, even going as far as dabbling in magicks that ought not be dabbled in, to save them.
History: Willow Rosenberg was a shy girl who has a hard time fitting in, in high school. When she first meets Buffy, she was nicer to Willow than any of the other popular girls at Sunnydale High ever were. Ever since, the two of them have been the best of friends. Willow is a computer nerd and she isn't afraid to admit it. Willow had a crush on her best friend, Xander, but he didn't think of her that way. She spent a lot of her time on the net, but always found time to do research for Giles and Buffy. Of course that usually meant checking out the morgue and looking up books from 1066.
In her junior year of high school, Willow got a boyfriend by the name of Oz, who happened to be a werewolf. He was the lead guitar for a band called, "Dingo's Ate My Baby." Willow had also been exploring the art of witchcraft and her skills have proven useful ever since restoring Angel's soul. Throughout her senior year, after a brief stint in which she as Xander cheated on their respective others with...each other, Willow built her relationship with Oz back up and they finally took a big step and had sex before their high school graduation.
All throughout her senior year, Willow studied up on magick, gathering many books of spells and incantations, gradually growing much stronger than her OU counterpart at that point in time. Along with her friends, Willow survived their unusual graduation ceremony that had their town mayor changing into a giant snake and trying to destroy Sunnydale. Willow was very eager to begin college with Oz and Buffy at Sunnydale University. Things began well, but after some time, Willow's relationship with Oz began to deteriorate. Another woman, who was also a werewolf destroyed the sweet couple's relationship and sent Oz on a trip to discover himself and the wolf within. Leaving poor Willow heartbroken.
While Oz was away, Willow began a friendship with a fellow Wiccan, Tara. The two practiced spells together and gradually built a relationship that was based on more than just friendship. Upon Oz's return, he found out that Willow and Tara had the beginnings of a relationship going and became jealous, transforming into a werewolf and attacked poor Tara. Disheartened at what he'd done, Oz tried to apologize to Willow, but Willow would not hear it. Willow took Tara's death moderately well, reminding herself that living on the Hellmouth and being friends with the Slayer was dangerous.
Willow's brilliant plan to defeat Adam by calling on the power of the first slayer and everything goes back to normal. Sort of. Buffy's younger sister, Dawn, moves from LA to live with Buffy and her mother. The usual craziness happens. Harmony, a former classmate who was turned the day the school blew up, attacks Dawn, Xander, and Anya at the Summers' house. Xander's split into two versions of himself, elicting a creepy threeway idea, suggested by Anya, who doesn't think it as creepy. Problems with Riley come to a boil, sending Riley off with the military and Buffy alone once more. Dawn's found out to be a mystical ball of energy called 'The Key' which Glory, a god, is gunning after her. Joyce dies of a brain aneurysm, causing the Scooby's world to spiral out of control for a short while.
Grief-stricken from yet another death of those closest to her, Willow buries herself deeper into her books. Both school and witchcraft. When Glory gets the idea to use her brainsuck-y powers, which involves sticking her fingers into a person's head, she performs that act on the person her 'intelligence' believes is the one that would know who the key is: Xander. Outraged, Willow goes to Glory's 'lair', armed with magicks and a bag full of knives. She actually manages to cause Glory pain, something that no one else in the Scooby gang had done, Buffy included. After bringing her magicks to the breaking point, Buffy comes in, and fights Glory off before the god can kill the witch. With the help of a final forcefield, Willow and Buffy escape. They visit Xander at the hospital, finding out that an unfortunate side-effect of Glory's "fingerbraining" is insanity.
